This art form performed by mens with sword and shield that are made of soft wood. Parichakali dance is a form of martial arts incorporated as a dance. The participants appear to be in a fight during the performance of the parichakali dance

Ulakkamuttu - Traditional Dance Forms of Lakshadweep

The local narrative meaning of 'Ulakka' is Pestle. This dance is performed with a pestle as props, only by men of the islands; Ulakamuttu is another form of dance that requires much skill and precision. Any slight distraction can cause disaster through injury to the dancers. Constant and tough practice is required to make one proficient in this folk dance. Participants of the dance sing along with dance movements.

Kolkali -Traditional Dance Forms of Lakshadweep

The other name of Kolkali dance is the 'Stick Dance'. Kolkali means stick in the local language; hence the name is given to this art form that is performed with sticks as props by the performers. Only the men of the islands can perform this dance and the female clan is barred from participating or performing the kolkali dance. The men dance in pairs and make brisk movements with the sticks in their hands in a circular formation.
